Project commissioned by Urban Casa for 251 1st St Park Slope New York, a new luxury development in Brooklyn designed by ODA architects. This artwork was created using acrylic paints on canvas. The stripe design reflects the building’s architectural element made of floor to ceiling glass windows. A black base is a stark contrast to the subtle pale palette of the interior. The colored stripes in shades of brown complement the taupe wall, and white lines with the white kitchen design. Stripes in shades of purple highlight the statement mauve chair positioned in front of the artwork. This is a retro styled piece that works well in a modern interior and can effectively draw together other colors used in the interior design.
