Book Series Design
An illustrative book series redesign project focused on minimalistic representationalism.
The 100 is a book series with a spin-off TV show, having a book cover involving dramatic pictorial elements with imagery and characters from the show.
My goal with this redesign was to eliminate the show connection and reintroduce the book series as a whole, separate unit. The symbols on the cover of the 100 consecutively represent the themes in each of the books. Centered around the subject of people returning to live on earth after a nuclear apocalypse, the colors and icons communicate this topic to the reader.
